Martinez back in Red Sox lineup

Martinez from the 15-day disabled list Monday after a month-long absence.
Martinez broke his left thumb during a June 27 game against the Giants when a
foul tip grazed his glove. He has been sidelined ever since, though the injury
did not require surgery. The Red Sox went 9-13 in Martinez's absence.
The backstop, who was acquired from Cleveland at last year's trade deadline,
is hitting .289 with nine homers and 38 runs batted in this season for the Red
Sox.
